Warm on Wednesday, but there’s another cold front on the way

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — We’ve got much warmer weather on the way today, with morning temps in the 40s and 50s, and afternoon highs in the 70s under a sunny sky. A cold front will move through late Wednesday night and provide us with another brief shot of cool weather.

How severe will this next temperature swing be?
We’ll go from the middle 70s Wednesday afternoon, to the middle 30s on Friday morning. Thursday will be breezy and cool as well.

What is the outlook for the weekend?
An upper air disturbance will combine with warm, humid air from the Gulf to bring chances for showers and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday. You can expect a mild start to Saturday before the warm air rushes in. Highs will be in the 70s both days with lows in the 50s Saturday and lows in the 60s Sunday.
