Woman killed, another injured after hit-and-run in northwest Dallas, police say

A woman died and another woman was injured early Sunday after a hit-and-run in northwest Dallas, police said.

Dallas police said two women walking across the 11500 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, near Royal Lane, about 3:30 a.m. were struck by a vehicle traveling north in the right lane.

One of the women was pronounced dead by first responders. The other woman was taken to a hospital, and her condition was unknown Sunday morning.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop to help the victims, police said. A description of the vehicle was not available.
