Crash kills juvenile, injures 3 more near White Rock Lake, Dallas police say

One juvenile was killed and three others injured in a crash near White Rock Lake early Saturday, Dallas police said.

The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the 8100 block of Garland Road, south of the lake. Police said the juvenile driver of the car was speeding when he lost control, left the road and hit a light pole.

The driver died in the crash. Three passengers — all of them also juveniles — were injured. Two were taken to the hospital in critical condition, and one was stable, Dallas police said.

The names and ages of those involved were not released.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
