Motorcyclist dies after being thrown from bike in 4-vehicle crash in Arlington

A motorcyclist died after he was thrown from his bike in a four-vehicle crash Friday night in Arlington, police said.

The crash occurred about 6 p.m. at Arkansas Lane and Center Street. According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling west on Arkansas through the intersection when he collided with a car turning left onto Center Street.

The impact caused the car and the motorcycle to hit two more vehicles stopped at the traffic light.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead by first responders, police said. His name has not been released.

No one else involved in the crash was seriously injured.

Police said speed may have been a factor in the wreck, but no charges or citations have been issued.
