Rizwan can solve all your problems with a simple hug, just ask Pakistani Twitter

Can Muhammad Rizwan do any wrong? Not really, said Twitter Friday night as it lauded the Multan Sultans captain for his adorable mid-game reaction while playing the Lahore Qalandars. The inspirational Rizwan spread love and joy even in defeat — last night’s game was the first time the defending champions saw their PSL 7 winning streak snapped by a relentless Lahore Qalandars at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

A 52-run victory for Shaheen Shah Afridi’s men showed why they have the most dangerous bowling attack as they defended 182.

The Sultans’ big-hitters Tim David and Rilee Rossouw were effectively neutralised and their inspirational captain Mohammad Rizwan couldn’t find his strokes. Shan Masood never got going. In fact, no one got going for the Sultans as they were bundled out for 130.

It was a fiery PSL game for the ages, made even more memorable by Rizwan’s adorable antics on the cricket pitch.

How cute was that? Just look at Rizwan’s expressions towards Shaheen Afridi. It’s a match made in heaven.

Twitter users are ready to put their lives on the line for the captain with a heart of gold.

For fans everywhere, Rizwan equals a ray of positivity.

Twitter also took some time from swooning over Rizwan to celebrate the Lahore Qalandars’ win against the Multan Sultans. “Qalandars for a reason,” tweeted one user.

Users were ecstatic the Sultans finally faced defeat.

Lahore Qalandars’ very own Haris Rauf was just as happy.

Lahore Qalandars’ fans particularly noted Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant performance during the game. Zaman was dubbed Player of the Match for good reason.

Zaman even had his own teammates gushing over him mid-game.

The Lahore Qalandars versus Multans Sultans match was a display of blazing performances — and lots of Rizwan wholesomeness. We’re excited to see how things play out further in PSL 7.
