2-year-old boy falls from apartment balcony in McKinney, flown to Dallas hospital

A 2-year-old boy fell from the third-story balcony of a McKinney apartment complex on Wednesday, police said.

The boy was taken around noon from a complex in the 5700 block of McKinney Place Drive to a nearby hospital. Then, he was flown to a Dallas hospital, a McKinney police spokeswoman said in an email.

She did not disclose where the boy was taken or if police had determined how the fall happened.

The three-story apartment complex is off Sam Rayburn Tollway and North Watters Road.

Police did not provide the toddler’s condition or disclose further details.
