18-year-old arrested in slaying of 2 teens in Watauga

An 18-year-old man wanted for the slaying of two 17-year-old boys in Watauga earlier this month has been arrested, police said.

Keiwone Leotis Morris was taken into custody Tuesday on two charges of capital murder for the March 12 deaths of Johnny Rojas and Klodian Ramaj. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.

Officers found the two boys dead inside of a car when they responded to a shooting call in the 5400 block of Caribou Ridge. Police have not released any details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that both teens were students at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller ISD. A GoFundMe account has been posted to help with Ramaj’s funeral expenses.

At a news conference last week, police Chief Robert Parker called the shooting a “very senseless tragedy.”

“The families that were affected by this, I can’t begin to imagine what they’re going through,” he said.

Morris is being held in the Tarrant County jail, with bail set at $1 million.
