Body found in water near White Rock Lake spillway, Dallas authorities say

A body was found in the water at White Rock Lake in Dallas on Friday afternoon.

Someone on the trail around the lake spotted the body face-down in the water near the spillway about 4:30 p.m. and called 911, authorities said. Dallas Fire-Rescue used a boat to retrieve the body from the water.

The Dallas County medical examiner’s office has not determined the person’s cause of death, and their identity has not been released.

Police said an investigation is ongoing and did not release any additional information.
