Very warm and breezy today, then mid-week storm chances

After near-record highs over the weekend, conditions will continue on the warm side today, but not quite as hot. Today’s highs will be in the mid 80s areawide with plentiful sunshine. A moderate south wind will continue to keep wildfire conditions in the elevated category.

The forecast looks dry today and Tuesday before a chance of thunderstorms arrives late Tuesday night. These storms could be severe after midnight and into the very early hours Wednesday morning.

Cooler weather will briefly settle in Wednesday and Thursday. Another chance of thunderstorms arrives early in the weekend.
