Consul General Abdul Jabbar Memon at Pakistan Consulate in Los Angeles Passed away

California: Honorable Consul General Abdul Jabbar at Pakistan Consulate in Los Angeles, CA passed away after battling with colon cancer for over 3 years. He is survived by his wife Dr. Shehla Memon, son Minhal and his new bride Pireh and many siblings in the USA and Pakistan. Mr. Memon was the longest lasting Consul General at LA consulate for over 6 years. He fought this deadly illness for over three years while continued to perform his official duties. His services to the Pakistani community in the West Coast of the United States is truly commendable and he will be remembered as a fine diplomat and a great human being.
Abdul Jabbar Memon did his Masters in International Relations from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. In his professional career, he also achieved Senior Course 125 Military and Strategic Leadership from NATO Defense College, Rome. Abdul Jabbar Memon served at Pakistan Missions abroad in the following capacities:Third Secretary, Embassy of Pakistan, Madrid, Spain First Secretary/Counsellor, Embassy of Pakistan, Cairo Egypt Counsellor/Minister, High Commission of Pakistan, Pretoria, South Africa.
He will be laid to rest in Virginia where few of his siblings reside currently.
