Pleasant today with one small opportunity for rain this week

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It’s a nice start across Southeast Texas this morning, with morning low temperatures in the 50s for most.

A strong Gulf breeze kicking in during the day will bring back clouds and humidity. High temperatures will peak close to 80 degrees today, and will climb in to the low to mid 80s for the remainder of the week.

When could we get a more significant rain to help with the drought?
We’ll have to wait at least a week. There is a small opportunity for showers and even a stray thunderstorm on Wednesday as a weather system pushes through the Plains. If anyone does get rain, it will likely be less than a quarter of an inch. Next Monday we are expecting our next cool front, and for now we’ve got you down for a 30% chance of getting rainfall from showers and thunderstorms.

How does the weekend look?
It will be a breezy, humid weekend. Despite the high humidity, there are no disturbances or fronts coming through to push the rain chance above 10%. Morning lows will dip into the low 70s with afternoon highs in the mid 80s. It will be partly cloudy both days with a southeast breeze between 15-25 mph.
