Woman found dead from homicidal violence in vacant West Dallas lot

A woman was found dead Wednesday morning from “homicidal violence” in the Ledbetter area of West Dallas, police said.

Officers were called about 9:50 a.m. to the 5000 block of Mexicana Road, just east of Loop 12, and found the woman dead in a vacant lot.

She has not been identified. Police did not give any information about how she may have been killed.

The circumstances around the woman’s death are still being investigated, police said.
