Widespread rain and storms with cold front

Widespread thunderstorms this morning have produced 1 to 4 inches of rain in many locations. The showers and storms will gradually taper off by mid to late morning. An early morning cold front is the reason for the stormy start. This front will bring cooler weather and cloud cover today.

Eventually, the sun will come out this afternoon. However, additional rain and storm chances are possible tonight and Friday. Spotty storms Friday likely won’t affect everyone, but many locations could see heavy downpours once again.

The weekend will offer one last chance of rain Saturday before hot and sunny weather dominates Sunday.
