NBC 5 Weather Experts: Air Quality Alert & Heat for your Wednesday

Our hot weather pattern will continue this week right through the weekend. High temperatures will range from the upper 90s to the low 100s. The hottest weather could be this weekend with highs of 100 to 104.

An Air Quality Alert is in effect for today for the DFW area. People with respiratory issues should limit their time outside. Today is also an Ozone Action Day, when ground-level ozone will be at an unhealthy level for some groups of people sensitive to breathing issues. Click here to read more about what it means to have an Ozone Action Day.

A weak, summer cold front may slip into North Texas by Sunday. This could drop the high temperatures by a few degrees into the mid to upper 90s by early next week. Rain chances with the front appear pretty slim at this time.
