The Colony man accused of threatening to kill Supreme Court justices on Twitter

Police arrested a man in The Colony and accused him of tweeting a threat toward the Supreme Court following the decision that overturned Roe vs. Wade.

Mikeal Deshawn Archambault, 20, was booked into the Denton County jail on a charge of making a terroristic threat June 26 and released the same day after posting a $25,000 bond, jail records show.

Authorities said the four wounded people are expected to survive.

The Colony police said Friday that te FBI contacted them June 24 about threats made on Twitter by someone authorities believed was in The Colony. Authorities did not find Archambault at his home that night, but obtained an arrest warrant for him and took him into custody two days later.

The Twitter account has since been removed, but screenshots show a post made from The Colony at 8:51 p.m. June 24, about 12 hours after the nation’s high court issued its decision in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

The screenshots show the Twitter user saying he was going to “kill everyone” in the Supreme Court with an AK-47.
