39-year-old Forney man arrested, accused of possessing child pornography, police say

A Forney man was arrested Wednesday morning in Forney and is accused of having child pornography, police said.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, investigators searched a residence in the 1500 block of Wyler Drive in Forney. Christopher Layton, 39, was arrested without incident earlier the same day following an investigation into alleged possession of child pornography, police said.

Layton, who was being held at the Forney jail Wednesday afternoon, is facing two counts of possessing child pornography, a third degree felony, police said, and added that further charges are pending.

No bail has been sent. It was unclear if Layton had a lawyer.
