Hot and dry this weekend

The hot weather will continue for the next several days with more triple digits in store. High temperatures will be around 100-104 with a heat index around 102-105. While this is plenty hot, there is no heat advisory or warning in place this weekend.

The next chance of some rain will be late next week as a summer cold front slips into North Texas. This front will bring a shot at showers and storms next Friday and Saturday. —Rick Mitchell, NBC 5 Weather Expert
