NBC 5 Weather Experts: A Heat Advisory Continues For Today

A Heat Advisory has been extended through 9 p.m. with another day of triple digits likely. While most of us will remain dry, a couple of pop-up storms can’t be ruled out north of DFW.

A weak frontal boundary will provide parts of the area with a 20% chance of thunderstorms Friday and Saturday, but any storms will be spotty in coverage. As far as any heat relief with the front, that hope appears to be fading. High temperatures may dip briefly below 100 degrees Saturday, but next week will be hotter with highs of 101 to 104.
