10-year-old wounded in drive-by shooting, Dallas police say

A 10-year-old was wounded Wednesday afternoon in a drive-by shooting, Dallas police say.

Officers were called about 1 p.m. to C.F. Hawn Freeway near South Belt Line Road, in the Rylie area of southeastern Dallas, where a shooting had been reported. Police said someone in a red car drove by and shot at another vehicle.

The 10-year-old was struck in the foot and was taken to a hospital, where they were stable.

No other information was immediately available.
