Two people died in a wrong-way crash on the Bush Turnpike in Richardson early Saturday, authorities say.

About 4:30 a.m., a Buick sedan was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of the highway when it collided head-on with a Honda sedan near Jupiter Road, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, DPS said. They were identified as 23-year-old Jennifer Trujillo Cota of Royse City in the Buick and 41-year-old Michael James Jackson of Wylie in the Honda.

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information about the crash was immediately available, DPS said.
