Rain chances return this week

Rain chances will be returning to North Texas for the upcoming week. Widespread and long lasting rain is not expected, but each day through Thursday will have at least a chance of spotty to scattered showers and storms. Rain amounts for the week in DFW will be around a half inch with some spots getting as much as an inch.

With additional cloud cover and a weak cold front slipping through the area, high temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s which is below normal for late August.

The Labor Day weekend looks warm with only a slight chance of storms. Much of the time will be dry.
