20-year-old man fatally shot in Deep Ellum, Dallas police say

A 20-year-old man was fatally shot in Deep Ellum early Saturday.

About 1:15 a.m., Dallas officers were flagged down near the intersection of Malcolm X Boulevard and Commerce Street, where they found a 20-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue took the man to a hospital, where he died. His identity was not released.

Police said the shooting took place nearby in the 2800 block of Clover Street, near South Crowdus Street.

The slaying was at least the fourth in Deep Ellum this year. In May, two men were killed and three people wounded in a shootout fueled by a personal feud. A 26-year-old man was fatally shot after an argument last month.

Anyone with information about the shooting may contact Detective Emmanuel Romano at 214-671-4096 or emmanuel.romano@dallascityhall.com.
