Corn clean-up causing traffic delays on U.S. 75 in Richardson, TxDOT says

Not everyone has to like it, but a crash that cropped up Monday afternoon involving a truck that was carrying corn and other canned vegetables caused traffic delays on U.S. Highway 75 in Richardson.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, the Dallas office of the Texas Department of Transportation tweeted that the north and southbound HOV lanes of the highway near Arapaho Road were closed because of the crash.

The southbound lanes of U.S. 75 in the area were also narrowed during rush hour as crews cleaned up corn and other vegetables off the highway.

TxDOT has advised motorists to plan their trips home after work, as cleanup was expected to continue through the evening.
