30-year-old man jailed in Grand Prairie hit-and-run that killed cyclist

A 30-year-old man was jailed Saturday in the death of a cyclist struck in a hit-and-run in Grand Prairie.

Juan Robledo-Delgado was booked into the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a charge of an accident involving death, a second-degree felony.

About 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 2500 block of West Jefferson Street, near Trailerdell Street, police say Robledo-Delgado was driving a Honda passenger car when he hit a man riding his bicycle on the roadway.

Robledo-Delgado drove off without providing aid, according to police. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

Officers found the Honda at a nearby home, which led them to Robledo-Delgado, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
