Police investigating after 2-year-old falls down the stairs and dies at NW Houston home, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Homicide detectives are investigating what led to a toddler to fall to his death at a northwest Houston home on Sunday, according to police.

At about 12:10 p.m., the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division said it responded to a call at the 5900 block of Flintlock Road near Fawndale Lane.

Authorities said the death of the 2-year-old “seemed suspicious.”

Investigators later discovered the child died at the home after falling down the stairs.

According to HPD, an investigation is still ongoing as detectives are trying to determine what led to the child’s fall.

It is too early to tell if charges will be filed in this case.
