Our stretch of beautiful weather continues

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — This weekend is as nice as you could ask for with crisp, cool mornings and warm afternoons. Our humidity will continue to stay on the low side.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a cloud in the sky, and the UV index will be very high between the hours of 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. A Pollution Watch for ground-level ozone has been issued for Saturday.

How long will this fall fresh air stick around?

We should see morning temperatures drop into the mid-50s through Sunday! Afternoon highs will rise into the mid-80s. At least the humidity will be low enough to open the windows when the temperatures are cooler during the first half of the day. This pattern of cooler mornings and warm afternoons will stick around all the way through the first few days of October.

What’s happening in the tropics?

We are still closely monitoring Hurricane Ian. It made landfall near Georgetown South Carolina during the midday hours Friday. It’ll continue to produce flooding rains as it moves north towards Virginia. For the very latest check out our daily tropical update.
