Police seek man accused of killing woman over basketball game in South Dallas

An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for a man accused of fatally shooting a 21-year-old woman over a basketball game in South Dallas last week.

Dallas police said they are searching for 31-year-old Cameron Hogg in the death of Asia Womack.

About 7:40 p.m. Oct. 3, officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Hamilton Avenue, near Lawhon Street, where they found Womack on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds.

Dallas Fire-Rescue took Womack to a hospital, where she died.

Womack’s family told KDFW-TV (Channel 4) the slaying occurred after Womack beat a man in a basketball game at T.G. Terry Park. Her family said the man took his kids and brother home before returning to the park and shooting Womack five times.
