Sunday brings rain, cooler temperatures in latest North Texas weather forecast

A strong cold front will move into North Texas on Sunday. Expect a chance of severe storms for Montague, Cooke, Grayson, Fannin and Lamar counties on Sunday morning. The primary threats are heavy rainfall, gusty winds and small hail. After the frontal passage, showers will linger across the area into Monday morning. Rainfall totals could range from 0.30″ to 1.00″.

Another surge of cool air will provide for a clearing sky and chilly morning lows by Monday evening. Expect lows to drop into the 40s for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Some across North Texas could experience lows into the upper-30s. Our highs will reach into the 60s on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We’ll end the week with highs warming into the upper-70s to lower-80s.
