Dallas police release vehicle description, image from fatal August hit-and-run

Dallas police released a description of the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that killed a 40-year-old man two months ago.

Police said a black or dark blue 2006-09 Ford Edge struck the pedestrian about 3:40 a.m. Aug. 20.

The man was in the northbound lanes of the 5600 block of Botham Jean Boulevard, near Budd Street in South Dallas, police said.

Authorities said Friday that woman exited the driver’s seat of the Ford, looked back at the man and then got back the vehicle and drove away.

Police said the man, whose name was not released, died as he was being taken to a hospital.
