Pedestrian fatally struck while walking on LBJ Freeway in northwest Dallas

A woman walking on LBJ Freeway in northwest Dallas died after being struck early Saturday, police say.

The woman was walking about 2:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the 3100 block of the freeway, near Webb Chapel Road, when she was struck by at least two drivers in the far-left lane, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, and the drivers who struck her did not remain at the location.

Authorities said they have not identified the woman, and the investigation is ongoing.
