Richardson reports steady turnout at alternate voting center

Voter turnout has been steady at First United Methodist Church-Richardson, a Dallas County early voting center chosen to replace the Richardson City Hall vote center.

City Hall could not be used as a vote center this year because a fire in August led to the temporary closure of the building.

Early voting takes place through Friday for the Nov. 8 election.

As of Oct. 27, 5,762 people had voted at the center.

That was the third highest total among Dallas County’s 52 early voting centers, according to information gathered by the city.
