Dallas man arrested in fatal Carrollton road-rage shooting, police say

A Dallas man was arrested after a woman was killed in a road-rage shooting in Carrollton early Saturday, police say.

Shardrel Damon Webb, 25, faces a murder charge in the slaying of 21-year-old Aurimar Iturriago on Saturday. His attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

About 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Carrollton police responded to the 3500 block of Country Square Drive, near Marsh Lane, after a 911 caller reported a woman had been shot. Iturriago, a Venezuelan citizen, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Iturriago was a passenger in a Nissan that was in a traffic dispute that began at Marsh Lane at Keller Springs Road and continued south, police said. The Nissan’s driver told officers a man in a black Volkswagen Jetta was following him and firing shots.

Officers responding to the shooting found the Volkswagen nearby and arrested Webb.

Police said there were no other injuries.

Webb remained in custody Wednesday at the Dallas County jail, with bail set at $300,000.
