Power back on for thousands of Houston-area CenterPoint Energy customers after storms push through

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A majority of CenterPoint Energy customers got back their power Monday evening after thunderstorms blew through southeast Texas.

According to CenterPoint Energy, about 1,000 customers were still affected at about 8 p.m. Most of those outages were located on the northwest side of the city.

CenterPoint’s outage tracker says thousands of customers had their power restored after about 6,400 of them were reported without power at about 4:20 p.m.
