Body found in burned Mercedes in northwest Dallas

A body was found inside a burned car early Saturday in northwest Dallas.

Police responded about 3:10 a.m. to the 11000 block of Shady Trail, near Walnut Hill Lane, where Dallas Fire-Rescue had discovered a body after extinguishing a Mercedes Benz on fire.

According to investigators, the vehicle also had multiple bullet holes and shell casings were found around the vehicle.

The Dallas County medical examiner’s office has not identified the body. No additional information was available.
