Much warmer for the coming week

Sunday has been cloudy and cool. There were a few sprinkles north of DFW around midday, but no measurable rain was reported. High temperatures topped out in the 50s. And there may be some patchy fog and drizzle in the area overnight. But much warmer air is expected to return Monday, as the clouds break and a southwest breeze picks up.

Warmer temperatures will surge back into North Texas most of this next week. High temperatures Monday through Thursday will climb into the 70s.

Our next best chance for rain arrives midweek as an upper-level storm system pushes into North Texas. Thunderstorms will be possible by then, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. But no severe weather is anticipated. Temperatures though, will remain on the mild side.
