‘Pawn Stars’ toy expert Joel Magee to appraise toys, cards, etc., at Arlington show

There’s money in those old Barbies and Batmans!

Joel Magee, the Toy Scout and Disney memorabilia expert on television’s Pawn Stars, hosts a free Arlington Vintage Toy Buying Show Dec. 6-8 at the Courtyard by Marriott between The Parks Mall and Highlands retail center.

A 1968 Hot Wheels Camaro appraised at $100,000 will be on display, according to event organizers. Show hours Dec. 6-7 are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8. Parking is free.

Based on more than 300 shows over three decades, Magee expects to see Pez dispensers, Star Wars and Beatles memorabilia, superhero figurines, baseball cards, 1940-60s comic books, as well as Shirley Temple dolls, Hot Wheels, and Hummel figurines.

“The types of toys and memorabilia that people dust off and bring to the show are too diverse to list,” Magee said in a prepared statement. “You cannot fathom the toys and games people have saved for decades.”
