Newborn’s body found inside petrol station’s toilet in Pindi

RAWALPINDI: Police found a newborn baby’s body inside a petrol station’s toilet after two unidentified women went missing after using it for a while on Saturday at about 12:30pm.

Police have launched a search for the two women who appeared at the petrol station in a car on Saturday. They walked inside the toilet and drove away after staying inside for about 15 minutes.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ghulam Ahmad, who is leading the investigation into the case, said he reached the petrol station after receiving an emergency call from Rescue 15.

Upon reaching, the petrol station manager, Mohammad Zubair, informed him that two women came there in a car and walked into the toilet after parking their vehicle.

He said after about 15 minutes, the two came out from the toilet and one of them had blood stains on her clothes. He said CCTV footage showed how the two women appeared at the petrol station and how they subsequently left.

The baby’s body was found after the two women left the petrol station. Police have launched an investigation and search for both of them. The baby’s body was shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
