A Below Normal Temperature Weekend Ahead

Now that cool weather has returned to North Texas, it will stay in place through Christmas.

There will be a 30% chance of showers, Sunday night into Monday, but that’s the only chance of rainfall over the next 10 days.

We’ll go from chilly weather to flat out cold weather by next Thursday. That’s when an arctic cold front will arrive with the coldest air of the season. Expect afternoon highs to fall into the upper-20s to mid-30s with lows into the mid-teens to upper-20s. It could be the coldest Christmas Day since 2009. Despite the cold, the chance for any snow around Christmas remains unlikely.
