It capped an exciting weekend for Texas-bound commits, as the Longhorns recruiting has dominated the early returns of D-FW’s top recruits. Early signing day is Wednesday, and at least nine players in The Dallas Morning News’ top 100 (including four of the top 10) are expected to sign with Texas.

The UIL state championships aren’t the only landmark Texas high school football dates in December.

Early national signing day — a key fixture for athletes and coaches across the country — is Wednesday. While 85 of The Dallas Morning News’ top 100 recruits for the Class of 2023 (and 49 of the top 50) are currently committed to colleges, signing day is always ripe for surprise flips.
