Irving police arrest 2 in slaying of 20-year-old man

Two people face capital murder charges in the slaying of a 20-year-old man this week, Irving police said Friday.

Officers were called about 1 a.m. Tuesday to the Waterford Apartments, in the 100 block of Cowboys Parkway in the Valley Ranch area, where they found a man with a gunshot wound in an apartment.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

Police arrested Amoni Alfre Visitacion Jamison, 19, and Luisa Jhoanna Murillo, 20, about 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Fort Worth. They did not say how they connected the pair to the slaying.

The two were being held in the Irving jail Friday, and it was unclear whether they had attorneys.

Bail was set at $1 million for Murillo and had not been set on the capital murder charge for Visitacion, who was also being held on several outstanding warrants.

This investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information may contact police at 972-273-1010.
