Warm with an elevated fire danger in North Texas

Mild weather is expected through Wednesday with temperatures running 15 to 20 degrees above normal. Given the warm weather, the fire danger will remain elevated through Wednesday thanks to dry, dormant vegetation and occasionally gusty winds. be careful not to do anything that creates sparks.

Changes will arrive on Wednesday as our next cold front pushes in with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The best chance of rain will be in east Texas. Cooler air will filter in for the end of the week.

The weekend will be seasonably chilly with another chance of showers on Saturday.
