HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It’ll be cloudy, cool, and mostly dry this evening, but you’ll need that umbrella handy for the weekend and the week ahead.
Increasing moisture will provide us with showers on Saturday. A cold front along with an disturbance aloft will give us thunderstorms on Sunday.
What’s in store for the weekend?
A warm front will blow in on Saturday, bringing an overcast sky and scattered rain showers. Temperatures will warm from the 50s into the 60s. Sunday will warm up even more into the 70s, but a cold front arriving late Sunday will bring back the chilly air for Monday. A passing weather disturbance will bring showers and thunderstorms from late Saturday night to Sunday afternoon.
Any chance for severe weather or flooding?
The chance for a severe storm is low but if it does happen, the main threat will be damaging winds. There will be a slight chance for street flooding with a few storms. The threat mainly exists from Houston to the east and south.
