Winter storm warning into Wednesday

A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for North Texas, including the Dallas-Fort Worth area through noon Wednesday.

Areas of freezing rain and sleet will give way to patchy freezing drizzle overnight. Temperatures will be below freezing in the mid to upper 20s. Travel will be slippery and hazardous.

Freezing rain and sleet will fall on Tuesday through Wednesday morning making travel difficult across parts of our area. Ice accumulations may exceed a quarter of an inch for locations across North Texas.

Better weather returns late week with sunshine and warmer temperatures in the upper-50s to lower-60s by the weekend.
