Dallas police officer arrested on suspicion of DWI

An off-duty Dallas police officer was arrested Saturday evening on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said.

Senior Cpl. Allison Brockford, 45, was taken into custody about 7 p.m. by the Dallas Police Department. Police did not say where in Dallas Brockford was arrested or release any additional details about the case.

Brockford did not appear in jail records Saturday night, and it is unclear whether she has an attorney.

The department said Brockford was hired in September 2012 and is assigned to the community affairs division. She was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation, police said.
