Warm start to the week, but watch for fog Monday morning and maybe a sprinkle

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The cold weather has moved out. Temperatures may Monday morning will only drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s, but there could be some fog around to start the day for Presidents Day. Monday may be cloudier part of the day with a small chance for a sprinkle or shower. Warm weather may dominate the week ahead, but you may have more fog Tuesday morning. Wednesday morning could have some strong wind gusts.

Are we jumping into a long stretch of warm weather?

Looks like it. Each day this week should have high temperatures in the 70s and 80s. The humidity will be higher most days, which could cause some foggy mornings.

What about the weather for Presidents Day?

Mostly cloudy skies may be around most of the day. Watch out for fog in the morning. There is a 20% chance for a sprinkle or light shower during the day. Otherwise, temperatures will go from the low 60s in the morning to around 75 to 80 degrees in the afternoon.

Is there any significant rain coming this week?

An upper-level storm system will move across Texas Wednesday. We could see a 20 to 30% chance for a few showers or maybe a storm, but nearly all of the rain may stay north of Harris County. Other than that, there may just be a random sprinkle or light shower Monday or a few other days this week if the clouds thicken up.
