Major warmth today

An impressive late February warm-up is underway across North Texas. Afternoon highs will range from 20 to 25 degrees above normal today, topping out in the mid to upper 80s! (It won’t be a record though. The record high for today is 95). Most sunny skies will prevail with a southwest breeze.

Our next storm system is set to arrive Wednesday, bringing a brief chance for showers and thunderstorms to the area, mainly in the morning. Wednesday afternoon will dry out dry and quite windy. A cold front will lead to slightly cooler temperatures on Thursday and Friday.

Our front stalls and returns to the area by the weekend. Disturbances moving across North Texas will provide for low rain chances returning, Friday into the weekend.
