A stormy forecast

March started off with some severe storms in the DFW area Wednesday morning. Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible tonight but storm coverage will be limited.

Thursday will feature a higher storm threat. This will be the result of a powerful storm system coming from California. Many ingredients will be in place for severe weather Thursday, including hail, high winds, and tornadoes late in the afternoon and early evening. Make sure to review your severe weather safety plan in the event a warning is issued for your area Thursday. The storms will move into East Texas Thursday evening, ending the severe threat in DFW.By Friday, quieter but much cooler weather returns with sunshine. The weekend looks sunny and dry with a warming trend.
