More sun for Sunday, oak pollen remains extremely high

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — If you like sunshine, try to get out Sunday. We have another sunny day with afternoon temperatures near 80 degrees. If you’re sneezing, oak pollen remains extremely high. We’ll see warm afternoons in the 80s through at least Thursday, with more humidity. The next strong cold front could arrive around Friday.

How many more sunny days to we have?

Sunday will remain very sunny. We could see low clouds and fog return early Monday morning, but maybe some breaks in the clouds by afternoon.

Any rain coming next week?

Increasing moisture will give us sea fog and spotty sprinkles and very light showers Monday through Thursday. Another strong cold front will pass next Friday and give us another round of storms and even colder temps next weekend.

Could it freeze behind next week’s front?

We could see some mornings down into the 30s for next weekend as many people begin spring break. It’s possible freezing temperatures might reach parts of Southeast Texas at least one of those mornings. Stay tuned!
