North Texas weather: The week’s chances for rain won’t end Wednesday

A March cold front slipped into North Texas Wednesday with clouds and temperatures only in the 40s and 50s. The highest rain chances have remain across far North Texas and Oklahoma and that will remain to be the case tonight.

Much of Thursday will remain rather cloudy but mostly dry. Showers and a few storms will develop Thursday evening from near DFW and points south. The rain will be out of the area by early Friday.

Saturday will feature a quick warm up, while a new cold front will arrive Sunday with a shot of cooler air.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy. There is a 60% chance of showers and storms during the late afternoon and evening. High: 70. Wind: SW 5-10 mph.

FRIDAY: A mix of clouds and sunshine. Low: 51. High: 67. Wind: NE 10-15 mph.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny, warm and windy with a 20% chance for an isolated thunderstorms. Low: 55. High: 80. Wind: S 15-25 mph.
