Clouds, showers, and humidity are returning Sunday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Goodbye Saturday sun. Hello Sunday showers. Expect a mostly cloudy day Sunday with showers or a weak storm. Temperatures will be in the 70s. Rain chances are near 60%. We could see a few showers or a storm Monday, but with warmer weather. A weak cold front will move through the area Tuesday morning, ending the rain chances and dropping the humidity.

Is any severe weather or heavy rain expected Sunday?

The threat for severe weather and heavy rain should stay to our east in Louisiana or Mississippi. We should see showers and maybe a weak storm in Southeast Texas Sunday.

What can we expect in Houston as Final Four weekend approaches?

Next week’s weather pattern looks a little unsettled. Another cool front blows in Monday with a 60% chance for more scattered showers and thunderstorms. Cooler and drier air filters in Tuesday, which should bring the rain chance down and allow temperatures to dip into the 50s by Wednesday morning. Then the warm, humid air pushes back inland for the rest of the week to bring back rain chances. Another front may roll in next Saturday to dry things out for the rest of Final Four weekend.
